You decide to stop and take a bite of what’s off this table of all of your favorite foods. There’s so many options, what shall you choose? You haven’t eaten since a small breakfast this morning and now it's mid-afternoon and your appetite is very high and it seems to be that you’re craving everything you see. You don’t want to ponder too long, but there are so many delicious options! Some penne vodka, a charcuterie board, a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit, and some German chocolate cake! You decide to grab a slice of watermelon and dip it into the chocolate fountain to try something new. You drown the fresh slice in chocolate and stick it in your mouth. The flavors work well together at first with the sweetness of the chocolate complimenting the bitterness of the watermelon, but after you swallow the aftertaste causes you to lose your appetite for fruit. You wonder why you even tried that combination in the first place. No wonder nobody raves about watermelon dipped in chocolate!
You decide to go for a second course. You realize that if you wanted, you could try a little bit of everything! With all this delicious food in front of you, you decide to continue your lunch with some fresh cheese and crackers from the charcuterie board. You dip a cracker in some fresh feta and top it with a couple of dried cherries. This is also a combination that you haven’t heard of, but after that watermelon, you’re willing to try anything new! After popping the cracker in your mouth, you realize that these flavor combinations work very well together. The sweetness of the cherries compliment the tart cheese and salty crackers, so you decide to try a couple more crackers topped with this. After a couple more crackers, you gaze over at the penne vodka. That dish of delicious Italian pasta looks like it's calling your name, so you head over to that side of the table. Before you reach for the fork, you remember and acknowledge that you’re gluten-intolerant and this pasta has gluten in it. You decide that you only live once, and you shouldn’t be so worried all the time about what you’re eating. You take a big delicious bite of the pasta, and your body is in shock immediately. You die.
