You close your eyes as you walk through the portal, you have your fingers crossed behind your back hoping that this is it, this is the way that leads back home. As you open your eyes you're not sure if you went through the portal or not because you didn’t feel anything. You quickly open your eyes and find yourself lying down, it's dark, you can’t see much. As your eyes adapt to the darkness you find your home? The ceiling, the walls, the way your bed feels like you're not back at the station your home? You quickly get up and think about what just happened? Was it a dream? Or did it choose the right path? But all you know right now is that it doesn't matter because you're just too happy that you finally got back home. You rush downstairs and open the fridge. It's been so long since you’ve had a proper meal. You grab the first thing you see and eat it doesn't matter what it is because you're starving. After eating you go upstairs and decide to take a shower to refresh yourself from what you just went through. You go upstairs into the bathroom and take a hot shower. When you get out you look into the mirror and see the creature that led you to the path you chose. You quickly look behind you thinking that it's not the end but it's gone. You think to yourself that maybe you were just seeing things, maybe you just haven't fully recovered from what happened. You put your clothes on and go downstairs, you look out the window but something just doesn't feel right. You think to yourself maybe i've been gone for a while and you're just isn’t used to being back home. As you continue to look outside you see the creature again but this time you rush outside and try to catch up to it, but by the time you get outside it's gone but you continue to walk forward to try to find it. You turn the corner of your house and see it again, you go towards it again and it disappears. You keep going more and more forward.
You keep on following it for a couple miles outside the city into a forest. All of a sudden it's not appearing anymore. You look around more hoping to find it again but all of a sudden an entire army of them jump out of the trees, they start getting closer and closer as you back up and as you back up they get faster, you feel threatened so you decide to run away as fast as you can, you look behind you and they start following you so your run faster and faster. You until you can't run anymore but somehow they are still keeping up with you. You get a boost of adrenaline and run even faster.You never would have thought one day you’d be seriously running for your life. You take another look behind you to see if you've lost them but no they're still on your tail and as soon as you turn your head back around you find yourself running into a tree so you quickly change your direction you were running. As soon as you turn your trip on the roots of the tree, you roll down a hill, you try to use your hand to catch on to something to save yourself but it's just not enough. You roll and you roll and the next thing you know you're falling. You look down and you see the group of creatures down there and think to yourself that this is it, this is the end. You fall and your head hits the ground, your entire body feels like it's broken. The creature get closer and closer to your body, you try to get up but its just no good, then they all start jump and biting you and then all of sudden one of them, the one that you met in the cave comes close to your ear and whispers
“gg ez win.”
