You continued to walk forward for a couple miles to see if there's anything past the edge of the horizon past the plants.
After walking for miles in desperation to find a way out when you come across a road, you can't decide if you feel a sense of relief or more confusion as to what will happen next. You decide to trust the road and follow to wherever it leads. As you follow the road you lose track of time. Has it been hours, or just minutes? All you know is you've been walking for so long you can't feel your knees anymore. As you continue your mission to go home you see the end of the road. You don't know how long it took you or how long you traveled but all you feel is a sense of hope. The road leads into a cave. It's dark but then you notice that it wasn't nature that created this palace but another being. You enter the cave with the thought of this being your last moments in this world. When you enter the cave you see a torch outside the entrance, you grab the torch with fear because at this point who knows what could happen next?
After exploring the cave for a bit you see a tunnel, you debate if you should go in or not, but at this point what other options do you have? You enter the tunnel and as soon as you enter you feel the air getting thinner. Every breath you take feels like it will be your last. You keep walking through the tunnel thinking that there is no end but all of a sudden you feel a warm sense of heat. This gives you a sense of hope, it's not much but enough to make you keep going. Finally you reach the end, you run to the end, close your eyes and fall on your knees thinking you are finally free, thinking that you get to go home. As you slowly open your eyes you realize, this isn't the end. Now there's 2 tunnels. All the sense of hope and warmth you had was gone in an instant. You fall to the ground with tears coming out of your eyes thinking that you'll never be able to go back home. But all of sudden you hear a buzz coming from around you. You ignore the noise and continue to sob on the ground, but then you hear footsteps. You think that it's another trick to make you think you're safe and have a way out but then you feel a tap on the shoulder. You open your eyes and tilt your head up to see what it was and a creature appears that doesn't look human, not at all. It's floating… you scratch your eyes thinking that you're hallucinating. You put your hand on it to confirm whether what you're seeing is real and not another trick. As you attempt to lay your hand on it moves away, you try again and move again, and all of a sudden it speaks? You can't understand what the creature is saying but all you do know is that it's not angry or hostile, it seems friendly. You stand still for a moment as the creature flies and observes you and then it looks at the right tunnel. You use your hands to lift yourself off the ground and use whatever strength you have left to walk towards the tunnel, as you walk towards it you see two tunnels, both leading to a portal. So now you have to choose whether you go through the tunnel that the creature is pointing towards or the other. Your gut feeling tells you to go through the tunnel on the left but you've been listening to your gut this entire time and have had no luck. So now you are infront of two paths you can choose: one might lead back home and the other? Who knows where.
